Alamelu is an assistant faculty member at the Indian Montessori Training Courses – Chennai. A graduate in Chemistry and a trained Bharathnatyam dancer, her journey as an educational enthusiast began in the year 1999 when she joined as a teacher in a kindergarten school called ‘The Inner Harmony’. In her early work with young children she set out as a story teller and also helped children to use their body with co-ordinated movements. The zeal in her to enhance her capabilities to work with children more efficiently, led her to complete her primary diploma in Montessori education in 2007. Subsequently, she worked as the adult in charge of ‘Parijath’ a Montessori environment run by the Kalvi Trust for Research and Education in The Cancer Institute, Adyar, Chennai.

Her belief in children and the Montessori method has been the greatest strength in helping stay focused in her pursuit to serve ‘The Child’.

After working with children of this age for some years, she underwent the Elementary Montessori training in the year 2011 and joined the Abacus Montessori School, where she worked till 2014.

In her pursuit to serve the Child, she has stepped into assisting the training programme in the Indian Montessori Training Courses- Chennai.
